Facts

My name is Dorelle Rabinowitz. I do not have a poker face.

Welcome to my world, where I show my professional side and my silly side. And my sentimental side. Come on in.

Please read my blog on Open Salon, mostly personal stories about my friends and family, if you really want to know me. Or you might check out some interviews. The folks at Newfangled asked me about my creative process and I was interviewed as part of the Digital Diner’s series on digital storytelling.

Work

I am an artist and designer.

I have 20+ years experience as a designer, information architect, producer, and a storyteller in new and old media.

I am owner and principal designer for Dorelvis Design LLC, a design studio focusing on user experience design and storytelling.

Previously I led the Design Systems Group at eBay, creating and maintaining a design system that ensured a holistic customer experience. Before that, I directed user experience design teams at Google and Yahoo!,  was an experience lead at SBI.Razorfish and produced Oxygen.com’s “Our Stories” site.

For a few years I was an editor with Boxes and Arrows, a magazine for information architects, and I had the pleasure of working with a number of amazing user experience professionals. I also had the honor of serving two terms as advisory board member for the Information Architecture Institute.

A graduate of NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program, I also hold a BFA in graphic design from the Rhode Island School of Design
